Vegan Stereotypes and Myths
Vegan Stereotypes and Myths -- Out-group Homogeneity & Stereotype Bias Vegans are often described as irritable, angry and aggressive. Veganism is not just a diet. It is natural right of vegans to protest and spread what they stand for. Just because they are a group without listening to what they want to say, they are wrongly characterized by the influence of the media. Vegetarianism and veganism only account for 5% and 3% of the United States population, respectively. However, as the public profiles of these diets increase, negative reactions are becoming more visible. The question we are asking today is, “why should one person’s dietary choice make anyone else angry?”
